Woman! Give Me That Bottle!

Maddie woke up around 7:00 and was very alert....and VERY HUNGRY! All last night when I fed her I held her bottle and she was very slow, but she still drank it. This morning was a different story. That girl grabbed the bottle out of my hands and chugged 2 ozs of pedialyte and then screamed until we have her 2 more ozs of formula

and then insisted that we give her an additional 2 ozs.

She looks like she would flip us off in this picture if she could! In reality it is the "no-no" on her arm that makes it hard for her move her arm around since there is an arterial line in there. That is coming out this afternoon as well as her central line. They have turned off all of her IV fluids so she is on her own with that. They are planning on moving us to the main floor tonight, if there is a room available. Chest tubes are staying in until at least tomorrow since there is still quite a bit of drainage.
This is the nasty look Maddie gave us when we tried to take the bottle from her. Like I said, we are seeing more and more of her old self coming out!
