We just returned from our family vacation in Daytona Beach, FL. Any one that knows me knows that I am not a beach person. This is probably due to the fact that I was pretty much born albino. Sunlight hits my pale skin and you might as well start dishing out the aloe for the sunburn that is about to ensue. In my younger years I just burned off several layers of my skin in an attempt to tan. I have matured now and realized that skin cancer is not on my to-do list, so I lather on the 70 SPF. Yes, they do make a 70 SPF. Because there still is the chance that sunlight will find its way through the sunblock, I was stylish on the beach in the ensemble pictured below. Notice that my 9 month old daughters have more color than myself. Just to give you something to compare my pasty whiteness to, here is a picture of my husbands family at the beach. "One of these things are not like the other..."
Since this was the first time the girls were at the beach, we took tons of pictures for your viewing pleasure.

Maddie was not such a fan of the ocean. Notice the nasty look she is giving the water. Every time the water would move in and out and would pull her feet up.

Maddie was happy until Ruthie stole her shovel. That is a common scenario in our house. Not necessarily with the shovel, but you can replace it with any object.
